| KKUP, 91.5 FM RADIO News Release January 12, 2009 WHAT: KKUP RADIO FUNDRAISING MARATHON WHEN: CONTINUOUSLY FROM FRIDAY, 2/13 AT 3:00PM TO SUNDAY, 2/15, MIDNIGHT *** SPECIAL KICK-OFF SHOW WITH HOUSTON JONES AND MORE LIVE MUSIC THURSDAY, 2/12 7:00 PM - 10: OO P.M. *** SPECIAL WRAP-UP MONDAY, 2/16, 6:00 9:00 P.M. WITH LIVE BLUEGRASS MUSIC WHY: TO RAISE $20,000 towards yearly operating costs for non-profit community radio station, KKUP Cupertino 91.5 FM. We will have lots of LIVE MUSIC, including: ANNIE AND THE VETS, TOM ARMSTRONG, ATKINSON/KINCHELOE, SHERRY AUSTIN, AUTUMN AND THE FALL GUYS, TINA LOUISE BARR, BEAN CREEK, THE BURNING EMBERS, COYOTE MOON, HYPERBOLE MOUNTAIN, HOUSTON JONES, JAY HOWLETT, JASON BOND & THE COMMITTEE, KITCHEN HELP, JAY LINGO, LONE PRAIRIE, MARY MCCASLIN, MISISIPI RIDER, BEV BARNETT & GREG NEWLON, RADIO RAIL, SIDESADDLE & CO, THE TARNATION BOYS, AND MANY OTHERS! KKUP is financed solely by subscriptions. No corporate or government money is used. We are raising funds for operating expenses, (there is no paid staff), and for sorely needed new equipment. Those who pledge during this marathon will be eligible for special premiums including CDS, special commemorative t-shirts, concert and festival tickets and more, and will become members of KKUP. |
